I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and trained as an integrative counsellor as I believe that everyone is a unique individual who requires therapy that is tailored to their needs therefore a variety of different approaches maybe required to assist one person to work with what suits them best. I utilise a variety of modalities including Person Centred, Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Creativity Expression and many others.
I also hold certificates in Counselling Children, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, Understanding Substance Misuse, Mindfulness, PTSD, Understanding Mental Health and Safeguarding. I am a certified Mental Health First Aider for Adults.
I am a qualified INLPTA (International Neuro Linguistic Programming Training Association) Certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Practitioner which complements my counselling qualification as I am able to offer treatments such as dealing with fears and phobias as NLP is a technique designed to change unhelpful thinking patterns by assisting in guiding you through a process of breaking down the mental barriers that could be holding you back from reaching your full potential. NLP assists in helping anxiety and stress, improving communication and understanding the way others communicate and resolving issues such as destructive patterns of behaviour. By helping you to make the connection with your mind and body so that you are able to operate as a whole person by improving how you see and operate within the world and make the desired changes to your life.

My mission is to restore the balance in a person(s) life so that they’re able to live a more fulfilled life. This includes working with cultural and historical aspects. The knowledge of the impact that your heritage may have on your mental wellbeing could create a better understanding of yourself in order to bring peace and harmony into your life. This may aid in finding and unlocking your potential, as you gain and have more clarity of the mind that you may be seeking.
Therapy is a two-way process where we are able to work together at achieving your desired outcomes, and allow you to live in the here and now, so that you enjoy what life has to offer today rather than living in the past or future. I work in a non-judgemental way where the therapeutic relationship is based on building trust and feeling safe in an environment where you as an individual are valued and listened to to allow you to be open and honest with your thoughts, feelings and emotions.
